President Barack Obama warned that new “tactical” disagreements loomed between Israel and Washington, but vowed to leverage his administration’s “creative powers” in the cause of peace. Obama, who has had a testy relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, spoke at length on the stalled peace process at a fundraiser for his 2012 reelection campaign grouping Democratic friends of Israel.
He said that as a difficult, challenging time loomed in the Middle East over the next few years, one inviolable principle was that the bond between the United States and Israel “isn’t breakable.”
“What is also going to be true is that both the United States and Israel are going to have to look at this new landscape with fresh eyes,” Obama said, arguing the Arab Spring had changed the context of regional diplomacy.
“It’s not going to be sufficient for us just to keep on doing the same things we’ve been doing and expect somehow that things are going to work themselves out.
“We’re going to have to be creative and we’re going to have to be engaged. We’re going to have to look for opportunities where the best impulses in the Middle East come to the fore and the worst impulses are weakened.”
“There are going to be moments over the course of the next six months or the next 12 months or the next 24 months in which there may be tactical disagreements in terms of how we approach these difficult problems,” Obama said, vowing to bring to bear his administration’s “creative powers” for peace.

Hey didn’t he just promise the Jewish donors that he is on the side of Israel?
More of his rhetoric, in other words obama is saying to Israel that he will do all in his power to destroy Israel before he elected out of office. His goal is for the Moslem brotherhood to have world wide domination.

I have been a life long democrat. I consider(ed) myself a Regan Democrat and at times have been more conservative on many issues then my Republican friends. I have been and come from a family of life long Democrats….So, yesterday afternoon, the Pollard Affair was the last straw from these idiots, I changed my party affiliation and will not look back. After 51 years a loyal democrat the Obama Administration has gone to far and it will only get worse. Im sad for Jews, American Jews and Israelis. Im sad that this man is our President and that we have an arabist that is driving this country to ruin. I pray that a mentch runs for office and a mentch wins in the fall so that this country and its citizens can once again know we are a Medina Shel Chessed. Sorry for the soap box but the democrats just lost two and the republicans gained two new members my wife and myself…..

Democrats have turned their backs against Israel. What Obama can’t even begin to understand is that when countries gang up to attack you and take your land – they are risking their own land. Like when someone picks a fight in the street. If they lose they get beat up. The Arabs waged war and they lost – they have to lose their land otherwise why should any other criminals get punished?
