Charlotte Bloomberg, the mom with moxie who watched her son rise from restless schoolboy to become New York’s three-term mayor, died Sunday, several neighbors said. She was 102.
“She died this morning,” said Bloomberg’s next-door neighbor on the tree-lined street in the Boston suburb of Medford.
Several other residents reported seeing cars at the house early Sunday, and then got word that their beloved neighbor had died.
“She was always uplifting, always wanting to help people. She was proud of her children and her grandchildren,” said another next-door neighbor.
“She was the most wonderful neighbor I ever knew. She was so alert and so bright. She was a charming lady.”
STATEMENT OF MAYOR MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG
“Today, my sister Marjorie and I lost our mother, Charlotte, after an extraordinary 102 years of life. As the center of our family, our mother’s unimpeachable integrity, fierce independence, and constant love were gifts that profoundly shaped our lives and the lives of so many who knew her. Our family recognizes how truly blessed we have been to have her live such a long and full life, and to be able to carry her spirit with us forever.”

When did Mayor Bloomberg’s father pass away?
Baruch Dayan Emes.
Maybe Bloomi should now get busy with his mom now instead of promoting gay rights.

Is the Mayor going to sit Shiva in the traditional way?
Misaskim can supply him with whatever he needs to do it right. What about Kaddish? Imagine what a Kiddush H-shem it would be if the Mayor said Kaddish with a Minyin throughout the entire year.

I hope that he at least says 1 Kaddish for her.
Nebach that she lived 102 years and couldn’t be zoche to see some Yiddish Nachas from her son.
Perhaps Hashem is giving him some petch for going out of his way lately, making special trips to Albany on his private plane, to lobby for toeivah ‘marriage’, Chas veshalom.
He has gotten way out of hand, he should not be given respect and kibbudim, he should be put into cheirem for his strong advocacy of phony ‘marriage’ of what the holy Torah calls abomination.
His grandfather (mother’s father I think) was a Rav. The Mayor should wake up and repent. All his money will not save him on the day of judgement. He will have to face the music for promoting abomination.

What the mayor mayor does is fine, why is there a need to be so judgmental?
