TEHILLIM – Maran Hagon Rav Elyashiv To Undergo Surgery On Sunday

Maran Hagon Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv will be undergoing surgery at 8:30PM Sunday afternoon (Israel time), to correct a leaking artery leading to his heart. Dr. Daniel Clair, who is a world-renowned vascular surgeon from Cleveland, OH, is being flown to Eretz Yisroel for the surgery. Various pieces of medical equipment needed for the delicate surgery are being flown as well.

Just recently, Maran Rav Elyashiv was admitted to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital after not feeling well, and complaining of weakness. He underwent extensive testing, and the results were reviewed by experts in the hospital, and then sent to Dr. Clair for a second opinion. All agreed that Rav Elyashiv should undergo the surgery.

Seven years ago, the same doctor successfuly performed the exact same surgery on the Posek Hador.

The surgery will be performed at Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim.

Large Tehillim gatherings are scheduled for Sunday all throughout Eretz Yisroel.

All are asked to Daven for Rav Yosef Shalom ben Chaya Musha.

  1. As I write this refuah Shelaima message, I have a great picture of him in his sukka right above my computer (Keeping pictures of gedolim over your computer makes you aware that if that gadol was in the room, would you look at such-and such ads, pictures, etc, on the computer?-! A good filter works great too. Just trying to share the wealth…Kol Tuv!)
