Two men were arrested Wednesday morning when police caught them scaling the Williamsburg Bridge so they could take pictures, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.
James Stafford, 22, of Connecticut, and Brice Farrell, 25, of Maryland, were charged with reckless endangerment.
Kelly described them as “urban explorers.”
“We don’t see anything it terms of an attempt to damage the bridge,” he said. “What it does is put our police officers at risk to climb up on the bridge to get people down.
“We would certainly urge other people not to do this.”
The suspects were spotted at 3 a.m. by Aviation Unit officers on routine sky patrol, Kelly said.
Emergency Service cops were sent to the bridge and arrested the men, who told police they wanted to take pictures.

There is a new threat to the safety and sanity of all New Yorkers, it is called the Hipsters. They actually think everything they do is right and good, whether they cause a scare and danger to NYC Police or riding green bikes through intersections.
If people would be arrested for being stupid, there would hardly be any free people!
