Fogel Family Murderer: Proud Of What I Did

“I’m proud of what I did,” so declared Amjad Mahmad Awad, 19, on Sunday just moments before an indictment against him and his partner Hakim Awad was filed before the Judea and Samaria Sector Military Court, over the murders of five members of the Fogel family two and a half months ago.

“I don’t regret what I did, even if it means I’m sentenced to death,” Amjad said ahead of the indictment hearing.

Five members of the Fogel family were butchered in the March 11 terror attack in Itamar. Husband and wife Udi and Ruthie Fogel and three of their children: Yoav (11) Elad (4) and baby Hadas (four months).

A month after the attack elite IDF forces succeeded in capturing the murderers. A few soldiers arrived at Amjad’s house in the village of Awarta near Itamar in the middle of the night.

  1. As it says in pirkei Avos about the Amora who saw a floating skull- The one who drowned you will also drown…There is no need to suggest how these terrorists should be treated. The true Dayan HaOlam will take care of things.

  2. Before he gets his death penalty he should be forced to express deep deep remorse for what he did. Publicly. And whatever it takes to get that out of him should also be done publicly. And the world will applaud.

  3. Unfortunately there is no death penalty in Israel except for genocide. However, if he is locked away someplace where the sun does not shine and his guards are all members of the Fogel family, it might do the trick.

  4. @rdavid, why in the world would that help??? if he already said he’s proud saying he regrets it wouldn’t make a difference!!!
