[PHOTO LINK BELOW] A group of Jewish music performers surprised Mordechai Ben David earlier this week to celebrate his belated 60th birthday (10 Nissan).
The visiting stars included Michoel Schnitzler, Lipa Schmeltzer, MBD’s son Yeedle, and Shraga Gold of The Shira Choir.
MBD was born on April 16, 1951, to Chazan and Mrs. David Werdyger. Chazan Werdyger, originally from Krakow, was one of the “Schindler Jews” and miraculously survived the Holocaust.
MBD has produced dozens of albums over the past 40 years. He has also performed around the globe at thousands of concerts, and starred as the main performer in the popular HASC concert for almost two decades. Many of his biggest hits were composed by himself.
