Traffic alerts were issued as follows by Gridlock Sam:
President Obama returns to the city Thursday for about four to five hours to visit a firehouse, stop at Ground Zero and meet with 9/11 families. Air Force One will land at Kennedy Airport about 10:30 a.m. before the President takes a chopper bound for Wall St.
Obama will then motorcade up the FDR Drive to the 42nd St. exit and cut across town to a firehouse in west midtown between Seventh and Eighth Aves. in the 50s.
Next, he’ll head back down the FDR Drive, under the Battery Park Underpass and up West St. to the World Trade Center site. The FDR will be frozen below 63rd St., along with all avenues east of Eighth Ave., until the early afternoon. The Battery Park Underpass and northbound West St. below Chambers St. will be frozen until about 3 p.m. Heavy delays are also expected at the Battery Tunnel and Church St., including delays on the M5 bus and express buses.
Finally, the President will meet with 9/11 families near Ground Zero before heading back to Kennedy Airport just before 3 p.m. Mass transit is a must, especially for those in lower Manhattan.

Here is an Obama reelection strategy:
1. Focus on the economy. The difficulty is that America has alot of debts and paying debts off is not pleasant. It can be done by tax revenues & savings, printing money & inflation, and selective defaults. Perhaps it can be done by producutivity, but don’t count on that. The best that can be done is to do it orderly with some fireside chats, which brings us to the next point.
2. America wants religion but Christianity has run out of steam for many people. To a certain extent the U.S. wants to be a congregant or even a deacon to a Jewish nation of priests. Therefore White House Seders, Rosh Hashana messages and the like are what they want to hear.
3. In the Middle East let the parties resolve their differences in a way that they see fit. America can offer financial aid, peace keepers, and its good offices.
3a. The bold stroke is to offer refugees fleeing war, poverty, and persecution a new home in America, the west, and other countries. In addition the president can make a personal contribution to the Jewish Agency, or Nefesh b’Nefesh to help Jews who wish to resettle in Israel, but can use some help.
Obama’s Stimulus would have been fabulous except that it never was passed.
[1] obamas stimulus was for 1 trillion dollars and it was not passed.
[2] congress passed a 500 billion dollar stimulus with 300 billion in tax cuts
[3] nonetheless, the CBO which is bipartisan along with ALL the economists maintain that the stimulus saved 1.8 million jobs and reduced the unemployment from being 2 or more points higher. Zandi, Mccains economic advisor who is a big shot at Standard And Poors maintains this as well.
[4] Had Congress listened to Obama and made it a trillion then incremendtally speaking the unemployment rate would likely be at 7 and the whole mess would be over.
But the republicans and right wing democrats blew it because of blind ideology
