The guest list for President Obama’s visit to Ground Zero was being guarded Tuesday almost as closely as his successful plan to wipe out Osama Bin Laden.
Family and friends of 9/11 victims said they were still waiting for an invite to join Obama when he arrives in Lower Manhattan to mark the death of the terrorist mastermind.
“I would certainly like to be there,” said Sally Regenhard, whose firefighter son, Christian, was killed. “I am trying to make inquiries as to who will be there.”
Other loved ones reached by The Daily News said they were waiting to hear from the White House if they’ll get the chance to meet with Obama at the site.
Mayor Bloomberg said he too was waiting to hear the details of Obama’s visit.
“The White House will release their schedule and we’ll see,” he said. “We’ll be happy to provide anything they might need. Our staffs are working with them to accommodate them to getting to families to do anything they want to do.”

Mark my word , Bush will be there too.
#1 as he should be. If Mr. Obama wants to make this his party (so to speak) that will be wrong. George W Bush didn’t succeed but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t care.
It would not be classy for W to be there. Obama has been extremely disrespectful towards him, especially with regard to counter terrorism Now after implying that he did what Bush couldn’t he is looking to appear magnanimous. Bush is wise for politely declining.
Will commenters 1, 2 and 3 please limit yourselves to the facts, which include the following:
a. President Obama invited former President Bush to join him at the World Trade Center site.
b. Former President Bush graciously declined to attend.
c. President Obama has not said anything like, “I did what Bush could not do.” The facts may support such a boast, but President Obama has not said anything like that.
d. In 2002, approximately 6 months after 9/11/01, then-President Bush said he gives little thought to Bin Laden and is not concerned with finding him, as he (Mr. Bush) believes that Bin Laden’s terrorist capabilities have been substantially disabled.
e. In 2005, the CIA closed its get-Bin Laden unit. Also in 2005, Bin Laden moved into the fortified, barbed-wire-surrounded, soccer-ball-black-hole of a mansion in Costellobad, Pakistan, where he lived undisturbed for 6 years, until his assassination by the US.
