Mayor Bloomberg says a Donald Trump presidential candidacy would be great for the news media.

Bloomberg, an independent, was asked Monday about Trump’s possible bid for the GOP nomination.

Bloomberg was less than enthusiastic, saying the wealthy real estate developer and reality TV host has a right to run just like anyone else born in the U.S. who’s over 35.

Bloomberg said Trump would generate lots of headlines and buy lots of advertising, which might save some journalists’ jobs.
