A Paris-bound American Airlines flight from Dallas had an unexpected stop at O’Hare International Airport tonight after an unruly passenger prompted the pilots to make an unscheduled landing.
The unidentified passenger was removed from the flight, which was scheduled to go direct to Paris, without incident, according to American Airlines spokesman Jim Faulkner.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the passenger would face criminal charges. Passengers typically face federal charges for disrupting a flight. An exact time of the unscheduled landing was not available, Faulkner said.
Following the incident, the airliner was refueled to continue the trip, Faulkner said.

this just comes to show how little fuel these plains have on them , and that is very scary.
I don’t see why they should carry more than they need. Esp. in light of 9/11. But I’m sure the “religion of peace” had nothing to do with this incident. (/sarcasm off)
#1…they carry quite a bit of fuel, which is stored in the wings.
It’s just that it never hurts to have more than you need. Especially since there are no second chances for fuel fill ups at 30,000 feet.
