Jewish Man Shot On North Woodmere Street

Woodmere, NY – A man was shot during an attempted robbery while he was standing on a North Woodmere residential street Wednesday night, Nassau police said.

The 39-year-old Jewish victim was transported by helicopter to Nassau County University Medical Center where he was in stable condition, police said Thursday.

Around 8:13 p.m., the victim was on Flanders Drive when a dark-colored four-door car, with an unknown number of men inside, pulled up next to him, police said.

One man got out of the car and approached the victim, demanding his property, police said. The man then shot the victim multiple times, according to police, and the car drove off westbound on Flanders without any proceeds.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.

  1. Seems like the victim did not resist, and nevertheless got shot. Our community should make every effort to obtain carry licenses, use safety practices, and be able to make a hishtadlus to defend ourselves.

  2. 600kilo –

Not that it makes a difference in the slightest, but North Woodmere is nowhere near Central Avenue (in fact, I would venture a guess that the perps in this crime came from nearby Rosedale – in Queens – and that they would have never gone so far deep into the 5 towns).

Does it really bother your sense of “equality” to understand that there is an infinite difference between a goy and an yid?! Yes, it does matter whose shor has been gored. Political correctness is not a virtue.

  4. please dont decide what punishment this “human” will get, he deserves far worse- the One above will give him much worse punishment than hanging him on whatever street corner

  5. Well said. Ive had it up to here with all the self hating jews who jump to equalize the goyim by drawing comparisons and pointing fingers at those jews who break the secular law. Its not ok, but we still are the best and G-ds chosen, so whats your point?

So hanging Gelman makes the world a better place; while you make no such statements about the Woodmere case (sinas chinom alert). Wouldn’t the world be a better place if our people had the tools/commitment to defend ourselves?!
