Yemen: Jewish Child Kidnapped

Yemen – A Yemeni Jewish child was kidnapped from Reda district in Amran province on Saturday, informed source told media outlets.

Yameen Ameran Al-Nahari, 8 years, disappeared while the Jewish community was practicing their religious rituals on the weekend.

Sources said that the kidnapping of the child targeted to pressure the Jewish community to forgive Abdul-Aziz Al-Abdi, who shot dead a Jewish fellow citizen, Mashaa Yehiya bin Yaeesh Al-Nahari, and accept his fine in which he will pay 5.5 million riyals.

Lately, a Yemeni court upheld a death sentence on a Muslim man after being accused of killing a Jewish citizen.

  1. You ask why are there Jews still in Yemen, My wife has many relatives still in Iran. We have begged and pleaded numerous times for them to come to the US. They have valid complaints of why not. True they are suffering in their country but it is something that is fammilliar to them. To come to america so late in their life is very difficult. They will be without a penny to their name and not have friends or know the language. We can not judge these brave people who are giving up so much to live a life of mesiras nefesh. They are the ones who protect the last remaining shuls. Yidden , take a moment and say a kapital tehilim for this little jewish neshama. Who knows what kind of torture they are giving him. We should never know the suffering that his mother is going thru. The Muslims are the worst enemy ever. Daven that he should be returned.

  2. why is it that you cal them brave? i think they are specifically NOT brave. brave would be to give up what you have to find a safe place for your family.

I dont know if it is mesiras nefesh to put your life, and the life of your children at risk, to stay because there is an old shul remaining there.

I do not wish this pain on anyone, but they are the ONLY ones to blame for staying in such a place.

  3. Who has reached out to them and offered a home, food, clothing…… guarantee of long term help……. If we are not ready to do it, why should they trade one danger for another?

  4. I am not judging. I just dont understand why there are still there. I do NOT judge and I will continue to daven for that poor child. as I said, I would not wish this pain on anyone. I just dont agree with someone staying there, and opening their children to that kind of danger.

RABBAIM: yes, there are. and there always has been.

  5. Tikvuchka, do you know the facts on the ground, if they let people leave (forget about with possessions), whole families, etc.? I can’t help but think of the novel Musawi, and interviews I’ve read with kids who escaped from Iran.

  6. Poor little Neshama, I cried when reading this article. It is so sad. The Yemen people, know what happened to the previous generation of Yemenites who were shmad’ed by the Israeli Government, the tziyonim Yms”h. They have every reason in the world, to be afraid to leave, and sacrifice their future generations.

tikvuchka: I don’t envy your chelek in Gan Eden (if any)!

  7. Tikvuchka-its not so easy for them to leave otherwise they prob. would have!! You think they didn’t think about leaving or are trying to, ect.?

  8. #6 There have been organizations and groups that have tried to convince these yiddim to leave. Information and negative news have been thrown in their faces about getting up and going to Israel.
Acclimating to new environments and cultures is highly difficult and adjusting to language, customs and modes of dress that are unfamiliar is problematic YET living under the thumbnail of enemies is DEATHLY. Choices are never easy….
