A suspicious package led to the evacuation of offices for an Israeli bank in Midtown Wednesday morning – but it turned out to be just a greeting card, officials said.
The eleventh floor of Bank Hapoalim on Sixth Ave. at W. 46th St. was cleared following the discovery in a mailroom shortly before 10 a.m.
The NYPD Bomb Squad responded along with the FDNY. Emergency workers cleared the scene about 12:35 p.m., cops said.
“The building is all clear,” a high-ranking FDNY official announced to the crowd of workers and media that had assembled outside of the office tower. “It was just a greeting card with a suspicious label.”
