9:30AM EST: After receiving multiple reports of a low-flying NYPD chopper over Boro Park Thursday morning, NYPD sources have confirmed to YWN that they were dispatched to survey the streets which were still unplowed.
Prior to the arrival of the NYPD chopper, there were a handful of news choppers shooting ariel footage of the neighborhood.
The NYPD Aviation Unit was seen flying at very low altitude, for approximately 30 minutes.
YWN has not been able to confirm if there were any city officials onboard the chopper besides NYPD personnel.

SO SAD, how every decision is determined by the bottom line: MONEY…..
Why would they have a police helicopter doing this? Shouldn’t it be a news helicopter?
So that’s what it was. Boy was it annoying at 6am.
And it was up there for TWO hrs, not only half hour.

As if the streets are nicely plowed after all this.
On the way to shul at 6:15 I heard and saw 2 copters hovering, one to the east and one to the west. I assumed they were news, not NYPD. This is the first indication that anyone cares. Today is day 5!
There were both–a news helicopter and an NYPD helicopter.
