As much as a foot of snow is expected to blanket the city starting tomorrow afternoon.
The Nor’easter is expected drop 8-12 inches of snow in Central Park and across the metropolitan area, with more than a foot possible in interior Connecticut.
“At the height of the storm, New York City will have sustained winds at 20-30 mph, with gusts as high as 50,” said Dave Samuhel, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather.com.
Powdery and, at times, drifting snow is expected to arrive around noon Sunday, with the bulk of the storm hitting late Sunday afternoon, Samuhel said.
Snow is expected to continue falling steadily until just after dawn Monday morning, he said.
White-out driving conditions could be a concern late Sunday, he said.

#1, noone is immune from Mother Nature. In florida they have crazy hurricanes to worry about. So while it may be nice and warm now, in 8 months from now they have to deal with the hurricanes

MOTHER NATURE?
Whom do you think sends us all of this?
Travel early tomorrow between 7 am to noontime when just light snow is expected. I believe it will get worse, snow wise, visibility wise, accumulation wise during the late afternoon and into the night when you certainly do not want to be outside driving. A blizzard warning is up for NYC.
#4 – Go to weather.com, type in your zip code, and click the “hourly” option.
Can we get some of it to Israel?
Snow Day on Monday? that would be nice! To stay in, watch the cleanup through my window armed with a cup of hot chocolate…sounds great!
enjoy it!
SNOW!! The only GOOD thing about living in NY.

no, but good try!
M stands for my first initial, I made this account before i went to yeshiva in miami, and then got married
You may all love watching the snow and the inconvience that it causes, but there are others for whom this is a pure disaster. I know someone getting married tonight – I would imagine that she and her chosson have kind of been waiting for this for a little while – and now, who knows how many of their friends and relatives won’t be able to make it. I know I would be pretty bummed if it were my wedding…

ever since I moved here I haven’t been in a hurricane, my first year in yeshiva we had rita who was a TS and in the end it was just a bad rainstorm, then I was home for wilma (it was over sukkos) and for 5 years after that no hurricanes whatsoever
noone is immune from Mother Nature
except snowbirds

How long have you been there? Maybe I knew you.
P.S. During Wilma we were 10 days without power, but I still think I’d trade Brooklyn for Miami-Dade.
“oh c’mon, i admit there are other good thing in NY like minyan factories and resturants on every block”

My family and I drove in to NY for my brothers wedding and we left before shabbos in case this thing would happen. My brother in Israel who was supposed to fly in for the wedding had his flight cancelled and will most probably not be able to make it. And it is supposed to go up to 18″.
