Thieves have rigged some ATM’s at some Bank of America branches in New Jersey.
Customers are suddenly finding their bank accounts drained.
Bank of America customers used their local ATM with caution Monday night after learning the machines had been tampered with.
Customer Robert Brady says he used his debit cards Friday night before taking his family to a parade in Hasbrouck Heights.
A quick swipe of his card at the Bank of America branch in town was all it took.
The next day, the electronic thieves withdrew $500 from Brady’s account at an ATM in Moonachie. On Sunday, they took another $500 in Hackensack and on Monday morning $500 more in New York City.
That’s when the bank fraud protection program was triggered and the family was notified that someone was depleting their savings.
The bank would not elaborate on how many other customers were victimized this weekend, only that all would be fully reimbursed.
Police plan to release more details Tuesday morning.

Lucky them that they are going to be reimbursed no problem!! Does the bank simply believe any customer who claims that it wasn’t him who withdrew money…??
The title spells thieves wrong. Its “I” before “E” except after “C”.
