Federal Express says it is looking for a package containing radioactive material that might be in Tennessee.

The package is safe as long as its packaging is left intact, CNN reported.

The lost item is a cylinder containing rods used to calibrate hospital equipment.

“The rods are used for quality-control calibration,” said Federal Express spokeswoman Sandra Munoz. “We have lots of experience in handling this kind of shipment.”

Munoz said the company might have additional information when two workers who handled the shipment return to work.
