The New York City Fire Department says it’s investigating a claim that inaccurate information by a 911 dispatcher delayed the response to a fire in Queens on Saturday.
Eight people were hurt in the early morning blaze.
It broke out on the second floor of a home located at 76-72 47th Avenue in Elmhurst.
One man was burned over 25 percent of his body.
Four other civilians and three firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The fire department says the flames were under control in just under an hour.
