The New York City Police Department says the two men found dead inside an SUV on a Manhattan street early Monday morning were potential witnesses in two separate murder cases, and may have lead to their deaths.

The victims were found inside the vehicle at East 19th street between Park Avenue and Broadway around 4 a.m.

Police say the men, ages 22 and 26, were shot in the head.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says the department was looking to talk to them about two separate murder cases from last year in Coney Island.

Investigators are now reviewing video, which shows two suspects walking to and from the car and then taking off before the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
