With little more than a month to go before the midterm elections, President Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit an all-time low.
nly 42 percent of Americans now approve of how Obama’s handling his job as president, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll. Fifty-four percent disapprove of his performance.
The figures represent a new low-water mark in the CNN/ORC poll for the president, who, almost two years into his term, continues to wrestle with public worries over a sluggish economy and exhaustion with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He thought he was Moshiach [rather he thought he could pull the wool over the entire countries’ eye]. If you listen to what he said since 2003 you know where it was going to end up. He want to fundamentally change the USA to a new world order run by something like the UN. People did not listen to his words since he is a smooth talker and when they said what his plans are they WOKE UP. He is surrounded by like people, He rules by decrees rather than congress. Two weeks ago another appointment which will destroy credit, Cass Sunstein will tell what to eat; no more french fries just carrot sticks and apples. Don’t believe me look in Mass they want to remove all coca cola from the soda machines. Go to the airport and while you waiting you will go to a restuarant or have to have skim milk or water. Vote for real change

They are, they know one thing: Business is doing bad. Insurance Premiums are going up and the banks all raised their fees. Blame whoever you want, they want change (and not the one Obama promised)!

IT IS SO UNFORTUNATE THAT ywn CHOOSES TO PUBLISH A ONE DAY SINGLE POLL OF A COMPANY AND THEN GIVE T A HEADLINE AS A STATEMENT OF FACT THAT OBAMAS APPROVAL RATING IS 42% AND THE LOWEST I….
THE TRUTH IS THAT GALLUP HAS HIM AT 44% AND RASMUSSEN, WHICH IS A RIGHT WING EXTREMIST POLLSTER, HAS HIM AT 47%, AND , TO PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE, OBAMA ONLY WON WITH THE VOTE OF 53% OF THE ELECTORATE.
SO IF A PRESIDENT LOSES LESS THAN 1 IN 10 VOTERS DURING THE RECOVERY OF THE WORST ECONOMIC DISASTER SINCE THE DEPRESSION WITH A CONGRESS THAT THWARTS HIS LICHTACHILA POLICY POSITIONS EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, HE ISNT DOING BAD AT ALL EVEN IN THE OPINIO0N OF THE IGNORANT PUBLIC ( I.E. HE PUBLICLY CALLED FOR A A TRILLION DOLLAR STIMULUS CLOSER TO THE POSITION OF WARREN BUFFET AND ECONOMIC NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS KRUGMAN AND STIGLIZ BUT CONGRESS PREVENTED THAT AND INSTEAD PASSED A 798 BILLION ONE MADE OF 1/3 TAX BREAKS AND 1/3 PROPPING UP OF GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND GOV JOBS TO KEEP THE COUNTRY RUNNING). SO OBAMA GOT ABOUT 1/3 OF WHAT HE PUBLICLY RALLIED ON.
THE REPUBLICANS AND RIGHT WING DEMOCRATS ARE THEREFORE RESPONSIBLE…AND NONETHELESS EVEN THE STIMULUS THAT PASSED ACCORDING TO THE VAST BODY OF ECONOMISTS AND THE BIPARTISAN CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE CONCLUDED LAST MONTH THAT THE UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES WOULD BE 3 MILLION PEOPLE HIGHER IF NOT FOR THE STIMULUS THAT ENDED UP BECOMING LAW.
i can’t believe that 42% of the people still approve of him. what would it take for them to realize what a threat he is to America? it is flat out mind boggling that anyone approves of him!

why would YWN want to publish a one time poll that doesnt do daily or three days weekly trackings ? Is it because all the historically CLOSE pollsters of presidential elections show this poll as an outlier.
Rasmussen, which is a right wing pollster who always gives the republicans a few percentage points higher in the last several elections has Obama at 50% approval ( the highest Rasmussen has had obama at in about a year)
Gallup, one of the most accurate pollsters has him at 46% and again, they are doing running averages which are more the less the same.
FOX News has him at 42%
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl has him at 46%
CNN/Opinion Research has him at 42 %
Reuters/Ipsos has him at 47%
McClatchy/Marist has him at 45%
So why is the one headline of YWN deceptive ?
all of the above are higher than Ronald Reagan was 22 months into his term and Reagan won his second terms 57% to 40 % in the popular vote and 48 electoral states.
The fact is that Obama is almost sure to win – in the last 150 years any president for whom 3 or 4 of the following 4 factors were in the president’s favor were re-elected to a second term.
factor #1: there is no serious contest for the incumbent nomination in his party
factor #2 The incumbent party candidate is the sitting president( as opposed to having taken over the presidency after a voted president left office for whatever reason)
factor #3 the economy is not in recession during the presidential election campaign
factor #4 the incumbent administration effects major changes in national policy (Obama – “historically speaking” has achieved this hands down- popularity of the major policy changes are not relevant to the 150 year statistic)
* This means that even if the economy is in recession in 2012 Obama wins the election.
