Palm Beach International Airport Concourse Reopened After Bomb Threat On NY Bound Jet Blue Flight

Palm Beach International Aiport has reopened Concourse C after a bomb threat stranded passengers for about an hour.

The bomb threat was called into the airport, and deputies took passengers off the JetBlue plane (Flight #336), Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Eric Davis said, that was apparently targeted. Passengers said the JetBlue plane was headed to La Guardia Airport in New York City.

The threat response shut down the entire concourse, which handles planes from Delta Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Air Canada, ComAir and Sun Country Airlines.

Emergency crews responded to Concourse C about 5:30 p.m., according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Passengers were blocked from entering the concourse for about an hour.

Deputies checked the JetBlue plane and passengers’ luggage before allowing people to reboard the plane.

Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Chief Steve Delai said shortly before 6:30 p.m. that fire-rescue response crews had been told they could stand down. The concourse was reopened and passengers allowed in at that point.
