The Jewish community has to remember the loss we all suffered, and whether it is this guy or someone else, insist on the MAXIMUM penalty.
No legal shtick where the perp gets off ’cause he had a “troubled childhood” or some such nonsense.
AinOhd – what is your position on Rubashkin? We’re all big tough law & order guys until it’s one of us on the line.
To berelshain: if you would know all the facts, you would know why the case is being appealed. t

I think I speak for all the “big tough law and orders guys” out there when I say that we most definitely feel R’ Shalom Mordechai should get exactly what he deserves for all the crimes he committed . . . Acquittal. He was found innocent on all counts immigration and labor law violations. He did not default on a single payment to the banks until the value of the company, destroyed due to the effects of the baseless raid, forced him to do so. He should get everything he deserves and then some! The case, and all charges against him, should be dropped, he should sue the government (or at least Judge Reade) for his losses, return to his askanus and chesed.
Shuali, Very well said!!
YES Shauli(#4), VERY well said!
#2 “berelshain” – Are you kidding me?!? – You are comparing a cold blooded murderer to the alleged offenses of Shalom Rubashkin?!? You are comparing what our reaction to this horrific murder should be, to what they should be to the Rubashkin case?!?
What are you thinking???
