Tens of thousands of residents in Kiryat Sefer and Beit Shemesh may be stranded with out means of transportation next week.
Kikar Hashabbat reports that the Superbus Employee Union, which includes Superbus bus operators are threatening to go on strike next week.
Among the claims of the Superbus Employee Union are unfair wages and not repairing buses as necessary.
Superbus is the only bus company that operates publicly in Kiryat Sefer, and is the main bus company in Beit Shemesh.
In anticipation of the strike, Superbus officials said they will use all legal means available to prevent their customers from being inconvenienced. However, they acknowledged that there may be a disruption in public transport services as a result of the course of the Superbus Employee Union.

#3, even if he doesn’t live in RBS he still can’t miss the Superbus while riding on the 417. Rarely do they not cross each other’s paths.
This is one strike that is justified. The drivers are treated badly; the buses aren’t maintained properly and the whole situation has gotten out of hand.
I just hope that Superbus caves in, though I doubt they will.
There are also Egged routes in BS and RBS.
I definitely agree that many of the buses are in a state of disrepair!
#2 – they take care mainly of normal Beit Shemesh. Egged, on the contrary, doesn’t go to regular Beit Shemesh at all.
Their main line is the 415, Jerusalem – Beit Shemesh. They take care of all non-Mehadrin buses in the area – also the 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 189, and all of the buses from BS to Tel Aviv and from Kiryat Sefer everywhere, like the 410, 411, 210, 220, 230, 240, 310, 320, 330, 340, and more… also many buses in the Ramle/Lod area.
By the way, as for the title – it’s not the bus company that is considering a strike, rather, the employees.
As for ‘peak season’ – their regular lines (like the 415) mainly transport working and studying people, not yeshiva people, so actually it’s the quiet season for them now.
