Five people were killed Thursday morning when a fire tore through a house in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island.
The three-alarm fire broke out at about 4:15 a.m. at a two-story brick home on Nicholas Ave.
The five people were pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center. Among them was a child, who firefighters said was in such bad shape after being pulled from the house that they couldn’t determine if it was a male or female.
