6:55PM EST: Highly credible sources tell YWN that an NYPD Inspector has just taken his life while on the job.
The Inspector, whose name can not yet be published, is with the NYPD for more than 25 years.
He reportedly shot himself inside his own office.

A high-ranking NYPD cop shot himself to death in his Queens office shortly before he was scheduled to go on duty Thursday afternoon, police sources said.
Inspector Anthony Tria, 47, who headed the department’s capital construction unit, committed suicide moments before 4 p.m. at his office in Fort Totten, the sources said.
It wasn’t immediately clear what drove him to take his life, investigators said.
In a statement issued last night, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly offered condolences to the Dix Hills, L.I, man’s family and friends on behalf of the entire force.
He described Tria as a “dedicated 26-year veteran of the NYPD, who a was responsible for every major building project involving the Police Department, including the new police academy, the joint operations center, and the back-up 911 facility, which are all currently underway.
“Inspector Tria was a consummate professional who worked tirelessly on behalf of the Police Department and the people of New York,” Kelly said.

I suspect that this is somewhat related to the 81 pct. fiasco. Well, seems like YWN is testing our curiosity level.
Commanding officiers are under tremendous preassure from 1 PP to further reduce crime with reduced manpower. I hope it’s no one I know.

#6, it’s horrible when anyone dies. I think that #2 knows that bu YW does not post every death in the world! It’s not an ordinary death. That’s why he wrote it was crazy!
