The Village of New Square just won the bid on the public school near the village which is located on New Clarkstown Road – for $3.1 Million.
The acquisition of the school is considered a “big win” since the school has a large property attached to it, which will help the village expand.
Several other Mosdos in the area, including Belz, were closely watching the developments on this building.
The new building will be used for the Skver Mosdos.
It is reported in the name of the Skvere Rebbe ZATZAL, the founder of the Village of New Square, that when the building was built over 45 years ago the Rebbe said “Zei Boyen Es Far Inz” (they are building it for us).

Not in New Square but adjacent.
What does “Several other Mosdos in the area, including Belz, were closely watching the developments on this building. ” mean ?? I am quite sure they were not intersted in purchasing the property, as it would be contrary to the principle of “דינא דבר מיצרא” Though technically it might not relavent in such a case, but it surely would not make “good neighbors”

Was it the municpal government of the Village who bid?
Than how “The new building will be used for the Skver Mosdos.” The Mosdos are religious institutions, how does that fit in with seperation of religion and state. The Village is a government agency and part of the State Government. Check with Mr. Spitzer the deputy mayor.
My guess it was either Yeshiva Avir Yaakov, the umeralla organization of the Mosdos Hachinuch or a holding company
That’s a lot of money.
May they set up a good, well-run mosod that will be a Kiddush HaShem and produce ehrliche children. It takes a lot of si’yata diShmaya to establish a Torah’dig mosod.
