Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II is expected to arrive in the city Tuesday.
The 84-year-old monarch will lay a wreath at the World Trade Center site to pay tribute to the victims of the September 11th terror attacks.
She’ll also open the British Garden of Remembrance in Hanover Square to honor the 67 British citizens killed that day.
She’ll be accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
The queen is also scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly for the first time in more than 50 years.
She was 31 the last time she addressed the UN.
She’s expected to call for world unity and peace.
This is the queen’s first trip to New York since 1976.

We all are extending to her a WARM Welcome.
Maybe a little too HOT Welcome (100F degrees.
Just a reminder…if anyone goes to see her (is she doing a walkabout?) there is a Bracha one says on seeing a monarch. I remember my father sending us with a copy of it when the Queen came to our city, but I have no idea where to find it. Probably with the Brachas for thunder & lightening!! 😉
