Rav Bar-Lev Remains Imprisoned – His Wife Hospitalized

The rav of Emanuel, Rav Bar-Lev remains in jail, one of the Emanuel parents, but his case is different. His wife was hospitalized and his wife requested that he be permitted to return home to assist with their 12 children as well as being by her side.

The rebitzen had a miscarriage, reporting her doctor stated that without a question the pressure and emotions surrounding the imprisonment of the 22 Emanuel fathers could have been a major contributory factor. Now, with the rebitzen in the hospital and the rav in prison, the 12 children are on their own.

Attorney Moshe Morgenstern, hired by the family to facilitate the rav’s release explains he has been on the phone with many state officials, including the secretariat of the High Court of Justice, telling him the request was pushed through and approved.

In a last-minute surprise, Justice Edmond Levy announced he does not have any idea what request anyone is referring to, insisting he never received any such documentation.

Morgenstern is admittedly perplexed, explaining that he received telephone verification form the court secretary, the prosecution’s office and a third agency, and now, the court insists there is no such request pending.

At 3:00PM, Morgenstern stated he is left with no other option but to begin once again, doing his utmost to expedite the rav’s release due to the difficult situation regarding his rebitzen and their children.

Yahadut HaTorah MK R’ Menachem Eliezer Moses released a statement that generally, the High Court waves the flag of personal freedom and being the guardian of one’s dignity but in the case of the Emanuel parents, the court exhibits a hard heart.

  1. What these justices don’t realize is that they owe their identity to authentic Judaism. Those who waivered throughout history aren’t Jewish anymore. Their grandchildren are running around with suicide belts, drinking vodka, and living in mountains in Afghanistan.
What a pity. They almost made it until the end. They survived both Galuyos, the hellenism influence, the Saducees, yoshke, all the Gerushin, the Spanish Inquisition, and many even the early Haskala. At the last generation before most of there guys went sour.
    What a pity.

  2. The court has dropped its mask, temporarily, out of hatred of Chareidim, so we can now see the ugly face of tyranny underneath.
