Arrest Made For Stealing Copper Piping From Bungalow Colonies

On Tuesday June 8, 2010 at about 3:30 PM, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of suspects stealing copper pipes from the Lake Side Bungalows in Kiamesha Lake. Arriving deputies chased the suspects through the woods and called in a State Trooper K-9 unit to assist in apprehending the suspect.

A short time later, deputies arrested Robert Mullins, 25, of Fallsburg and George Jamison, 40, of White Lake. They were both charged with Burglary in the 3rd degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools. They were arraigned before Town of Thompson Judge Martin Miller and sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.

Sheriff’s Detectives tell YWN that the pair stole pipes from several bungalow colonies on Fraser Rd, Old Liberty Rd, and Route 42 in the Kiamesha and Monticello area.
