It appears the United Nations is about to order the Goldstone II investigation after its Human Rights Council announced it will order a probe into Israel’s actions concerning the Gaza flotilla. The vote which took place in Geneva received overwhelming support, passing by a 32-3 margin. Voting against it were the United States, Norway and Italy. The European Union and Japan were among the nine nations that abstained.
Israel’s permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Aharon Leshno Yaar addressed the council, stating, “The attack on the Israeli soldiers was beyond all doubt premeditated. The weapons used had been prepared in advance. They used knives and clubs and shot two Israeli soldiers. Israeli forces had no choice but to defend themselves”.
The expected move was the result of significant Arab lobby pressure, passing a resolution that condemned Israel’s commando operation that attacked the vessels at sea, at the human rights organization put it. The resolution also demands lifting the embargo on Gaza and permitting all forms of humanitarian aid into the Hamas controlled area.
The resolution concludes by calling for the formation of a fact-finding mission into the events, with US Ambassador in Geneva Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe adding the US is concerned by the “deteriorating humanitarian and human rights situation in Gaza.”

How come the UN never called “for the formation of a fact-finding mission into the events” regarding the THOUSANDS of rockets shot from Aza into civilian areas of Israel, or all the suicide bombings on buses, pizza shops, restaurants, etc., etc.?!?!?
Of course this is a rhetorical question.
We all know why.
The only thing the UNITED Nations is UNITED about, is condemning Israel.
Ayn chadash tachat hashemesh.
But of course we know that the Torah teaches us that whoever curses Israel will BE cursed, – so… they are really only condemning THEMSELVES!!!
BSD I agree with comment #1. We also learn that just prior to the coming of Moshiach (NOW), the nations of the world will come together to gang up on Israel. We see this happening right before our own eyes. Since the fruition of this prophecy has clearly been seen by all Jews regardless of background or philosophy, it is certainly time for the Moshiach to be revealed without one additional moment of delay.
You’ll note that the USA is taking a very carefully worded response to this entire episode. The USA has not outright “condemed” Israel. I understand that the President’s aides have instructed him to patch up his discord & hate for Prime Minister Netanyanu (and all Israel), or he will quickly lose any Jewish support that he might have had. So the President appears to be treading water in unknown territory. Love the Arabs and Love the Jews at the same time? I don’t think even this President can pull this one off and talk his way through it.This article mentions that the US ambassador in Geneva commented on the “deteriorating humanitarian and human rights situation in Gaza” without mentioning Israel or the Arabs. How quaint. We all know who he is referring to. Why is this Israel’s problem? Aza is a Palestinian controlled state. Israel gave it to them as they forced Jews out of the area. So why do we have to support an enemy state? I don’t see Israel supporting any other Arab state, so why this one? If Israel will only stand firm in its convictions in regard to their enemies, HaShem will certainly stand firm with Israel. Don’t the Israelis (religious & non religious) see that as long as they have discord between themselves, the State will have discord with their enemies? If we cannot control our own people from hurting ea/ other, what makes you think Israel can control its enemies from hurting Israel.

Bewst action for the US – throw the bums out of NY and withdraw ALL support and membership. THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE FINANCIALLY BANKRUPT WITHIN A MONTH. BTW they have been fmorally bankrupt for at least the last 35 or 40 years.
