PHOTOS: Chareidim Burn Herzl Photo in Jaffa Protest

The protests against ongoing excavations in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv continued on Sunday night as Atra Kadisha and the Eida Chareidit insist the bones at this location are Jewish, unwilling to stand by and permit the desecration of kivrei yisrael, as they put it.

Chareidim on Sunday night burned a very large photo of Theodore Herzl, feeding additional fuel to the fires of dispute between the chareidi and secular populations.

A large photo of the ‘Father of Zionism’ was on display, with the word “pagan’ written on his forehead in Hebrew, with a small swastika painted on the sign to his right. The photo was placed above an Israeli flag and they were set ablaze as chareidim protested the grave desecration at that location. This protest took place on Sunday night.

  1. lazerc,
So if it’s not determined it’s mutar? Who determined that it’s not Jewish? It’s just unbeleivable how people are twisting the truth to their politics. These are foundations to Yiddishkeit. Whoever chas vesholom denies in “Hash’oras hanefesh” (part of the sole stays in the body) goes into kfira.

  2. the tziyonim yemach shemam think that they have the last word on this – there will come a time when hashem will take our nekama along with all the ppl that harmed the yiden
