White Powder Sent To Israeli Consulate With Reference To ‘Barzilai Bones’

On erev shabbos, close to closing hour for the Israeli Consulate on 42nd Street in NYC, an envelope arrived containing white powder, alerting officials who feared it may be anthrax, Yediot Achronot reports.

Security agents activated emergency protocol, and Baruch Hashem, they eventually learned that the white power was nothing more than a nuisance scare intended to activate the system. The envelope contained a note stating “Nazi Zionists for removing the bones at Barzilai”, leading consular security officials to believe that letter was sent by the radical Neturei Karta faction.

  1. Whoever was the chevraman who did this is supposed to ask for Da’as Torah first. This was stupid and dumb!

  2. This was not sent by Neturei Karta. It was most certainly sent by Zionists themselves to get a headline especially against NK.
