Two people were forced to flee flames as a fire destroyed their home in Monsey overnight.
Fire officials say they were called to 246 Route 306 around midnight and found a back cottage burning.
No injuries were reported.
The cottage was near the Ohr Somayach Monsey Tanenbaum Educational Center. A student tells News 12 the fire was too close to the college for comfort.
“The house was engulfed in flames. Flying out of the windows. It was very, very scary for all of us, we were all very scared for everyone.”
