Most speech-watchers had a positive reaction following President Donald Trump’s first speech addressing Congress according to a snap poll.
Overall, 57 percent of viewers had a ‘very positive reaction’ and 21 percent of viewers had a ‘somewhat positive reaction’ in a CNN/ORC poll.
However, new presidents President Obama and President Bush had 68 percent and a 66 percent ‘very positive’ reactions respectively when they made their first addresses to both houses of Congress in a Joint Session.
On February 24, CNN was one of several news organizations which have been critical of Trump that was blocked from attending a press briefing at the White House.
Most people also approved of Trump’s policies with 69 percent saying they would move the country in the right direction. The speech changed some viewers minds about Trump since just 58 percent had a favorable opinion about the policy direction of the country before.
The CNN talking heads which included David Chalian and Wolf Blitzer praised Trump’s performance.
They noted the tone of his speech which was more uplifting than his inauguration speech and Melbourne campaign-style rally.
Trump has deemed CNN a foe, even citing that people call the the television station the ‘Clinton News Network.’

Even CNN is admitting that the left are finally waking up because the 78% poll (and the other percentages) are from the LEFT only. On the right it’s 100%.
Arye
So if fox did a poll it would be 100%?
When one does a poll he chooses random numbers and only afterwards finds out if they’re democrat or republican
Well obviously this is fake news
coffee addict-
Don’t bother trying to confuse arye with facts. Facts are not something he’s usually concerned with.
CNN is not admitting anything. A poll is a poll. The fact that CNN commentators are willing to praise Trump when he acts like a President instead of a spoiled child should be proof positive that CNN is not the leftist, biased and anti Trump outfit that Trump and so many Republicans make it out to be.
