The Port Authority says 11 people got through an unattended TSA security checkpoint in Terminal 5 of JFK Airport Monday morning.
Port Authority officials say it happened around 6 a.m., but they weren’t notified by TSA until 8 a.m.
They say the people went through an unattended lane in Terminal 5 and boarded various flights before they could be found.
The TSA says it has identified three people who got onto a plane to California. Authorities say those three are being screened properly upon landing.
The TSA also says it’s confident the incident is not a threat to air travelers.
It’s launched an investigation into the incident and says it will discipline and retrain the employees involved.

What kind of a security is the tsa if they don’t care about the safety if they could walk away and leave a lane unattended maybe they put a cone over there so ppl should know that no is standing ther and you can pass without any screening
Another botch by Obama.
