Jerusalem Councilman Moshe Leon announced on Sunday 16 Shevat that he is taking leave from his CPA office in which he is a partner, leading the community to believe he is about to reenter the political arena. Leon explained the reason, wishing to dedicate more time to his city job, with many feeling he is preparing for the mayoral race in the hope of becoming the city’s next mayor.
In the current city administration, Leon is responsible for the city’s local minhal, the local community councils around the city. Leon is a close friend and backed by Yisrael Beitenu party leader Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Leon on Sunday announced he is ending his 25-year partnership in the CPA firm to dedicate additional time to his city activities.
