PM Netanyahu: I Wasn’t Aware of the Gifts Given to My Wife

bibAs investigations against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu continue, Channel 2 News reports that Mr. Netanyahu told investigators he was unaware of all the gifts that were given to his wife, referring to champagne. Mr. Netanyahu is quoted saying “She is an independent person as am I”, explaining to investigators they are not both aware of everything that concerns the other.

Mr. Netanyahu was also asked about expensive cigars, cigars that an Israel Radio Reshet Bet correspondent reports sell for $250 each on Amazon. The Prime Minister is quoted saying he does not remember exactly but there may have been some cigars here and there. He explained he was not in the habit of checking the cost of each cigar and at times he received some while at other times, he purchased his own. He added he did not probe to learn of every gift that was given to Mrs. Netanyahu.

  1. If the investigation is ongoing how on earth can it be any way ethical to report it in the public domain? Who is leaking information? Oh wait a second – almost forgot – it’s Israeli left wing media we’re talking about… Anything is possible when you set your own rules…
