Report: Hamas Turned Down an Israeli Prisoner Exchange Offer

gazOfficials of the Hamas military wing report that the terrorist organization has rejected an Israeli prisoner exchange deal, Al-Jazeera reports. According to the report, a Hamas delegation visited Egypt last week and the proposed exchange was discussed.

Israel continues efforts to obtain the release of two Israelis who voluntarily entered Gaza as well as the remains of two soldiers killed in Gaza fighting during Operation Protective Edge; Lt. Hadar Goldin and Sgt. Oren Shaul HY”D.

Hamas reportedly rejected the Israeli offer because Israel was not willing to give enough to approve the deal.

The parents of Hadar Goldin have been increasingly critical of the “lack of action” by state officials to bring their son’s remains home for kvura, having stated publicly they do not feel Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has kept the promises made to them, that the return of the remains is always a high priority for his administration.
