Following an undercover investigation, police detectives moved in and arrested a number of people involved in an alleged real estate scam in Tzfat. One of the people taken into custody is a senior Tzfat City Hall official.

Members of the Yahalom Unit worked with Tax Authority inspectors on the investigation, calling the case Number 1431. Agents raided the homes and the offices of the suspects simultaneously, confiscating material for the ongoing probe.

Some of the suspects were remanded a few hours following their arrest and they were ordered held over for an addition four days or a week.
