On on Wednesday, February 15th, Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs (CHYE), The Jewish Entrepreneur (TJE) and Emergency Parnassah Initiative (EPI)  will be hosting “Finding Success in eCommerce,” a seminar and business networking event for men and women, at The Palace in Borough Park.

Over the past decade, eCommerce has become an increasingly popular occupation in the frum community. It doesn’t take a secular education or a college degree to buy and flip things on eBay or sell on Amazon and other online platforms. To succeed in eCommerce, all that is required is hard work, grit, a keen sense for discovering new opportunities, and a willingness to learn.

As interest in this field has grown exponentially in recent years, CHYE has had to expand its resources to fulfill the demand. Due to the large turnout at last year’s seminar, this year “Finding Success in eCommerce” will take place in The Palace (706 McDonald Avenue), a spacious and prestigious venue in Boro Park. CHYE has also tacked on additional programs and networking opportunities to this year’s event, including classes and workshops, a Question and Answer session, and an “Investor’s’ Corner.”

The event will begin with classes at 5:30 PM. Participants will choose from four class offerings covering a range of topics relevant to the eCommerce industry. This will be followed by a sumptuous, gourmet buffet kosher dinner at 6:30.

The next session will be a keynote address from Motty Gross, the founder and CEO of AJ Madison. In his talk, titled: “How to turn your business into an ecommerce powerhouse,” Gross will share lessons he learned as he built his business and provide tips for succeeding in eCommerce.

“Ecommerce is not that much different from traditional commerce,” emphasizes Gross. “You have to know your product. You have to know your audience. And you have to know you what you’re promoting.”

Following the keynote, there will be a Q&A with an exclusive panel of eCommerce leaders featuring Motty Gross, C+A Global founder, Chaim Piekarski, Marc Bodner of L R Distributors, and Jeremy Greenberg of Sellercloud. The panel will be moderated by Nesanel Gantz, writer of Ami Magazine’s business column, “Lunch Break.”

“The world of Jewish entrepreneurship is growing by leaps and bounds,” says Gantz. “It’s vital and helpful for new entrepreneurs to hear from people who have already ‘been there, done that,’ and are having great success.”

The event will conclude with  “eCommerce Exchange,” a series of roundtable discussions on a variety of eCommerce topics led by some of the most successful and knowledgeable experts in the industry. For the first time ever, CHYE will also be providing an “Investor’s Corner” alongside the roundtable, giving attendees an opportunity to network with active investors. The event will continue until 10 PM.
