Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has closed the investigation against opposition leader MK Yitzchak Herzog, who allegedly was tied to illegal election campaign funding. Mandelblit explains the probe is being ended due to the lack of evidence to move ahead.

However, Mandelblit has decided to move ahead with criminal indictments against two others, whose names surfaced during the scope of this investigation. S.B. and G.R. will face charges due to their alleged involvement in illegal election activities.

Herzog praised the attorney general’s announcement.
