8:03AM IL: There is no change in the condition of HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita who is reported in “stable condition” this morning, Monday, 3 Shevat. The rav is not connected to a respirator. He is breathing on his own despite rumors to the contrary. It is possible that some action may be taken to “support his respirations” but this is yet to be determined.

The update was provided by Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital Director Professor Moti Ravid, who insists he will not release additional information in an effort to safeguard the rav’s privacy. He adds that due to the rav’s advanced age, Am Yisrael should be mispallel for his well-being every day all of the time.
