As Jerusalem City Hall begins day two of its general strike, garbage continues mounting around the city, including the tracks for the light rail.
CityPass, the light rail operator, announced on Monday morning 3 Shevat that due to the garbage on the tracks in the area of Machane Yehuda, train service is interrupted. As such, the light rail will operate between Pisgat Ze’ev and Shar Shechem and between the Central Bus Station and Har Herzl.
There will be no service between the Central Bus Station and Shar Shechem, the distance of Jaffa Street.
CityPass officials have turned to the city requesting that sanitation worker clear the tracks. No response has been received at the time of this report.
