Magen David Adom has added a number of 650cc motorcycles to its EMS fleet. Fifteen new ‘on-call’ personnel have joined the fleet of response motorcycles in a ceremonies event held in Ashdod. During the ceremony, three drivers received their new 650cc motorcycles including defibrillators and other advanced medical equipment.

Eli Zohar of the Operations Division explained to the new on-call personnel how their smartphone app works. The application sends out a call based on the GPS reading of the person. Three paramedics received their new vehicles, two MP3 500 and one 650cc motorcycle, whom also serve in the Israel Police Traffic Enforcement Unit on motorcycles.

An addition 15 volunteers in that area received bags containing first-response equipment.

MDA Chief of Operations Eli Bin was on hand and he praised the volunteers and the growth of the EMS agency’s two-wheeled fleet, which he explains facilitates a faster response to calls for assistance.
