IDF military police have been busy in a number of chareidi areas seeking to arrest persons listed as missing from service. Police were detected in Betar Illit during the night but left empty handed as the talmidim they were looking for were not to be found.
In Jerusalem, several dozen chareidim protested on Stern Street in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood as police were seeking to located persons affiliated with the Yerushalmi branch and have failed to report to register for the draft. The protestors were unruly and tried to block streets, leading to the arrest of nine persons who will face charges including assaulting police and disorderly conduct.

Anyone get the feeling that the police are always right from these articles?
A bunch of bored people
While not being so impudent as to openly criticize the gedolei Torah, nevertheless, most of “these articles” seem to portray the Chareidi tzibur as a violent, unruly mob that seeks to terrorize the mild-mannered, tradition-oriented State of Israel and its secular citizens. The state that always follows halacha. As if the ‘black hordes’ are a threat to that pillar of Judaism in our times, “the beginning of the flowering of our redemption…” Under such circumstances, how could the valiant, dedicated riot troops and Yasam (=SWAT teams) ever be wrong?
