A powerful Nor’easter will make its way into the Tri-State area Monday, bringing heavy rain, coastal flooding and possible power outages.
WABC Meteorologist Bill Evans says the rain will be heaviest Monday afternoon and evening with 1.5-2 inches of rainfall expected that could cause localized flooding.
Forecasters say the strongest winds are expected Monday afternoon into the early evening and say the winds could down trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are already being reported throughout the Tri-State area.
The storm hitting the Tri-State area is part of the vast storm system tore through the Southeast over the weekend, spawning apparent tornadoes, pulverizing mobile homes and leaving at least 18 people dead.

And just think, if it was only slightly cooler, we could have another snow storm like last year. Maybe its the change of administration? Or all the hot air in northeast over the “wrong” candidate winning? Has anyone pointed out the “global warming” would mean more rain and less snow?
