It did not take long for Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) host Chen Elmaliach to be docked by station Director Yaron Dekel. Following the fatal terrorist attack in the Bedouin community of Um Chiran, which claimed the life of policeman Erez Levi HY”D, Galei Tzahal Radio personality Elmaliach expressed solidarity with the attacker. Elmaliach used his Facebook page to express support for the vehicular attack that killed Levi, writing, “I too would run over a policeman if they were evicting me from my home to build a community for persons stronger than me”.

While he deleted the post, enough people copied it and it went viral. A few short hours following the attack, station CEO Dekel twitted that a person who comments as he (Elmaliach) did, has no place in the radio station. He has since been docked.
