Security authorities have completed their work at the scene of the fatal vehicular terror attack earlier today, and officials have begun with the demolition of illegal buildings in the Bedouin community in southern Israel.
A large police force is remaining in the area, protecting government agents who are carrying out demolition orders that were issued after the High Court of Justice ruled against Um Chiran residents, backing the government’s plan to begin razing the illegal structures in the area.
The accompanying photo is that of MK Ayman Odeh, who was among the civilians and police injured earlier. Two people were killed in the vehicular attack. There is a gag order prohibiting the publication of additional details of the attack.
There were also clashes between residents and police earlier, as the former tried to prevent the latter from moving ahead with demolition orders. The area is quiet at this time as demolitions continue.
