Construction on news caravan homes got underway in Amona on Tuesday, 19 Teves, in line with a government commitment to permit residents to locate elsewhere on the hilltop, which was ordered evacuated by the High Court of Justice.

An agreement was reached between residents of Amona and government representatives by which many of the current residents will be permitted to relocate nearby and remain. There has been speculation by many that the government does not plan to meet its obligation on time as little has been done, but with the arrival of the caravans on Tuesday is for many a positive sign vis-à-vis the government’s intension to comply with the agreement in a timely fashion.
