A sikrik who on last Friday night attacked Deputy Minister Meir Porush and his son Elad Mayor Yisrael Porush is in custody. As reported by YWN-ISRAEL, the two were walking in the Ezras Torah neighborhood of the capital when attacked without provocation by sikrikim.
While Deputy Minister Porush would not file a police complaint, police launched an investigation nonetheless due to the stature of the two victims.
The suspect was among those taken into custody at a stormy protest on Wednesday afternoon 6 Teves on Rashi Street, outside the IDF Jerusalem Induction Center.
It appears Porush and his son were at the hadlokas neiros tisch of the Slonim Rebbe Shlita and from there headed to kabolas shabbos and that is when they were attacked.
When the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, police found he was in possession of a number of documents attesting to his psychiatric condition as he is eligible for induction into the IDF. The documents were obviously for him to receive a mental discharge from service. He was questioned and arraigned on Thursday morning.
